| Notes | We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position involves assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling, confirming patient visits, and handling patient inquiries. Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Support the administrative team with medical documentation as needed. Skills Proficient in medical terminology related to dentistry. Knowledge of general dentistry practices, including prosthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics etc. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment. Understanding of four-handed dentistry principles to enhance efficiency during procedures. Strong skills in medical documentation to maintain accurate patient records. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental care. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members. Must be certified in coronal polishing and know how to scan.
