| Notes | Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice for 3 days a week. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support overall practice operations. Our clinic is an advanced general and surgical dental practice. It is one doctor, beautiful, clean, and productive office with all of the latest digital equipment and technology. Some experience preferred, but we will train. Candidates must have good patient communication skills, enthusiastic attitude, quick learner, detail oriented and a team player. Candidate must also be willing to learn and help with front desk office work. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and adherence to infection control protocols. The Registered Dental Hygienist will collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure optimal oral health outcomes for our patients. Main Duties: Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical & dental histories, and reviewing medical & dental records. Assist in patient education on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans. Use dental imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes while maintaining proper aseptic techniques. Proficient in writing chart notes in Practice Management Software. Perform chairside assisting during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Maintain infection control standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations and OSHA guidelines. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient practice workflow and high-quality patient care. Qualifications: Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of practice. Local Anesthesia license would be plus. Proven experience in general dentistry; dental office or clinic experience preferred. Ability to learn and work with Patient Management Software. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with digital imaging, vital signs assessment, and dental treatment codes. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management. Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration. Ability to perform detailed documentation review Commitment to providing compassionate patient care with attention to detail in all procedures.
